History of the Female Sport Biker Weekend

The Female Sport Biker Weekend was founded by the Fiery Phoenix in 2002 and held in Philadelphia, PA June 2003. The Event attracted over 100 female bikers from diverse backgrounds and experiences that shared one common interest… the Joy of Motorcycle Riding! Attendees traveled from as far as Connecticut and Miami. The members of The Fiery Phoenix wanted to celebrate the surge of females that were starting to ride sport bikes. The idea was to give them an annual event to look forward to that honored the female rider. The FSBW will be held in a different state, hosted by a different female sport bike club every year.

The second FSBW was held in Miami, FL and was hosted by the wonderful ladies of Sixth Gear. They carried the torch and put together a phenomenal weekend for over 150 female riders. The weather was great and the fellowshipping was even greater. A lot of attendees of the first FSBW and many new faces came to Miami to keep the dream alive.

The third FSBW hosted by none other than Lady Sport Riders of the Maryland-D.C area put together a weekend for the record books. Over 170 ladies registered for the event. They put Greenbelt, MD on the map and continued to keep the FSBW a huge part of the sport bike landscape. The 3rd annual FSBW was the largest one to date.

Also during that year, the bold and empowering FSBW logo was created. This logo honors the style and energy of the female motorcycle rider. With her flowing mane and undeniable lean, it captures many of the qualities the FSBW holds dear. Designed by Brandi Robinson, it has become the official emblem of the Female Sport Biker Weekend.

The fourth FSBW hosted by the wonderful ladies of Endless Curves and Jerzee D'Vahz both of New Jersey did it really big in Atlantic City, NJ. With those two clubs hosting the FSBW in AC was really HOT!!

In its fifth Year the FSBW will be hosted once again by the founders, The Fiery Phoenix of Philadelphia. To celebrate the events 5^th Year Anniversary the Fiery Phoenixes are planning to make this an event to remember and set the bar even higher for future events. 2007 will be a thank you to all of the FSBW supporters and where else would be better then the “City of Brotherly (and Sisterly) love”!
