us. We will post new FAQ's as they come in.
A: Only women are allowed to register for the FSBW.
The registration fee covers the admission for the events such as the Meet and
Greet, End of Weekend Bash, and Brunch/Award Ceremony. The hosting club may
include other events that the registration fee will also cover. Men are welcome
and also encouraged to come to the FSBW. They however are not allowed to
register. They must pay for admittance to all events. You don't have to
belong to a club or own a motorcycle to enjoy the FSBW. All lovers of motorcycles
are welcome to attend the FSBW.
A: The FSBW was founded by Tracy Ervin, Angelique
Harris and Angela Andrews of the Fiery Phoenix of Philadelphia, PA in 2002.
The event was intended to give the Female Sport Biker an alternative to
Black Bike Week in Myrtle Beach.
A: The intentions of the FSBW are to give the
Female Sport Biker an alternative to Black Bike Week in Myrtle Beach. The event
will focus on the Female Sport Biker as an addition to the Bike Community as a
peer and no longer a spectator of the sport.
The FSBW is a coming together of women from diverse backgrounds that share the
common love of sport bike riding. It's a weekend of riding, bonding, sharing stories,
parties and meeting new people. And to add an extra flair, the event will be
held in a different state hosted by a different all female bike club every year.
A: The presidents of all the clubs in attendance
that year are allowed to put their clubs name in the hat to be in the running for
the next year's FSBW. Those clubs that would like to host the next FSBW must meet
certain criteria. Once the criteria are met, the clubs are voted on by all the
clubs (one vote per club) that were in attendance. The club with the highest
number of votes gets to host the next FSBW.
A: Yes. The founding club put together what is
called the "Female Sport Biker Weekend Template" which acts as guidelines for the
hosting club to follow. The founding club is also in place in a supportive role
should the hosting club need additional help.
